MIG Make - Let us make your scale
If you or your family or friends live abroad or can’t make it to Stockingfield Bridge to make your scale, artists from MIG can make a scale for you. Your scale for Bella will be made using broken tile called trencadis combined with a handmade tile. You can personalise your handmade tile for your scale choosing up to 40 characters to make your mark. Your personalised tile will be embedded into an artist made trencadis scale for Bella. Your scale will then be photographed and sent digitally to you so you can have a record of the final design and the contribution you made to Scotland’s largest community artwork. This personalised scale would make a fantastic gift!
Gift an Experience
This is a unique hands-on creative experience to gift friends and family to contribute to an extraordinary community artwork. There are two options for gifting a scale experience Make a Scale Experience or a MIG make. The make a scale experience is a two person 3 hour activity which will take place at our Art Bothy at Stockingfield Bridge. During the experience the participants will make their mark on a soft clay tile which will be later fired and glazed. They will then create a scale for Bella choosing a community handmade tile which will be combined with broken tile, to complete the scale. A maximum of two people can make the scale, although one person is of course welcome to complete it. The scale experience gift voucher will give the participant access to the calendar to book their scale making experience workshop. This activity is suitable for adults or those who are 12+ accompanied by an adult. NB Scale making experience workshops will commence from January 2024 and initially take place on a Tuesday evening and Saturday morning.
