Discover the ceramic heritage of Glasgow’s Willow Pattern
Inspired by the iconic Willow Pattern found on plates produced by Glasgow's famous Bell Pottery and recovered from a shipwreck off the coast of Arran, join us in exploring Glasgow's hidden ceramic heritage through making, conversation and creativity. Together we will create a unique ceramic tea set and table setting by making willow-pattern-inspired clay tiles and upcycled tea service using specially designed pottery stamps and decals. We’re having a facelift!
Fancy coming to help us give Make it Glasgow’s Art Bothy and Scottish Canals Volunteer Hub a much needed spring facelift? Day 1: We need your drawings and ideas to go on the side of our containers. Fun, creative, community get together. Starting at Stockingfield to look over the containers, ending at Ruchill Pavilion for hot drinks and drawing and design ideas! Day 2: We prepare and paint the containers, ready for the new artwork to go on. Messy, fun, painting and scraping
